Player guide

Use this page to understand how Skillsroom handles rooms, tournaments, evidence, refunds, support, and account activity.

Refund-eligible cases

Refunds may be available where a room or tournament does not validly proceed, where payment was duplicated, or where the platform voids the competition outcome.

  • A match cancelled before valid play can qualify for a full refund.
  • Duplicate or excess funding can be corrected after review.
  • Event cancellation by the platform or an approved sponsor failure can trigger a refund process.

Cases that may not qualify

Refunds are not automatic where a player loses fairly, breaches rules, abandons play, or causes the failure that led to the issue.

  • No-show, account misuse, cheating, or evidence tampering can lead to denial of refund.
  • A player who enters the wrong room or ignores a clear event rule may not be entitled to reversal.
  • Administrative effort alone does not guarantee a refund if the underlying competition was valid.

Refund workflow

Approved refunds move through the platform ledger before any actual outbound transfer occurs.

  • Refunds may be reserved, queued, completed, failed, or cancelled depending on the current payment process.
  • Manual review may request room code, transfer proof, timestamps, and the reason for reversal.
  • Refund timing can vary based on provider, banking, and fraud review.

Platform discretion

Skillsroom may combine refunds with other actions such as voiding a result, reversing a settlement, or restricting an account.

  • Where fraud is suspected, a refund may be delayed until review completes.
  • Where only part of a pool is impacted, the platform may issue partial refunds instead of a full event reversal.
  • All refund decisions should be auditable.
